TRAINING & TECHNIQUE SWIM CAMP CORONADO, CA June 20-24, 2023

Training/Technique Camp San Diego Coach: Gary Hall SR and Nolan Huey

Race Club Training/Technique Camps

This new hybrid camp format is ideal for swimmers that need to continue their swimming training, yet still need improvement in their swimming techniques. It is a five day camp with two 2-hour sessions in the water per day. Additional time will be spent stretching before each practice.

For swimmers that are younger than 12 years or not in top condition, we will be doing 2 hours of strict technical instruction with drills (approximately one hour in each session) and 2 hours of training per day.

For swimmers 12 and up who require more training, we will offer 1 hour of technique instruction with drills (in morning session) and 3 hours of training per day. Keep in mind, we are always correcting stroke techniques throughout both practices.

During the camp, training will include aerobic, anaerobic threshold and alactic sets in freestyle and in specialty strokes. There will also be at least one individual medley workout for those swimmers who swim these events. Come experience some creative Race Club workouts that you have likely never seen before! We will always complete the camp with some races.

By the end of our camps, our goal is to help you become a faster and more efficient swimmer in all strokes. For those swimmers that have attended our camps in the past, you will find the technique review helpful, while improving your conditioning.
