SWIM CAMPS IN OCEANSIDE DATES ANNOUNCED! PRIVATE COACHING AVAILABLE

Main Set: Front End 100 Pace

Coach Mike joins us from Louisville, Kentucky, where he competed for 5 years on the University of Louisville swim team. He specialized in the 100 and 200 freestyle events, where he was notorious for pushing the front half of the race. This was a risky endeavor, making for some memorable races. It is important to be able to attack the race early in that manner but we must be able to control it so we do not fall off on the end of the race.

This week, we will be rehearsing the feeling of going fast early in a race but controlling it all the same. Enjoy!

Off the blocks:

5x

50 take out 100 pace with fins

25 easy and take fins off

25 finish mode for 100 pace

During this set, our goal is to keep our effort honest. Use the fins on the first 50 to rehearse being fast, but we must save enough to finish well at the end.

BONUS: through an old tech suit on for this to simulate race day even more!
