TRC Main Set – Breaststroke Kick Burner

Breaststroke is the most kick-dependent stroke in the sport of swimming. So if you want to be a fast breaststroker, you’ll first need to be a fast breaststroke kicker. If you want to learn about the 3 other aspects that impact your breaststroke speed, read this article. For this week’s main set, we’ll be focused on increasing your breaststroke kick propulsion & seeing how well you can hold that propulsion at faster and faster kick-rates. You’ll need a snorkel, tempo trainer, alignment board (or regular kick board), and drag socks. Done correctly, this is one of those breaststroke kick sets that is going to have your legs burning, so prepare yourself & don’t forget to work the afterburners on each & every kick!
