We recently worked with 20 year old breaststroker Noah Snyder.  Noah uses a late breath technique that we will highlight throughout this video series.  In order to use this technique effectively one must use a powerful and timely kick.  One of the keys to a fast kick is ankle pronation.  Ankle pronation involves the ability to dorsi flex or pull the toes towards the head.  Eversion or the ability to flex the foot to the side.  And abduction or the ability to lift the edge of the foot.  Of these three elements, dorsi flexion and eversion have the greatest impact on technique.  Learn key stretches for these two critical muscle groups in the foot that will allow you to swim a faster breaststroke.
