Coach Mike comes to The Race Club from Louisville, Kentucky, where he grew up swimming his whole life. He attended St. Xavier High School, where he was the captain of their swim team, and led them to 4 separate state championships. Mike then committed to swim at the University of Louisville, where he excelled for 5 years. He ended his career at the University of Louisville as an ACC champion, 7x NCAA All-American, and as the team captain. Mike then continued his career at the Indiana University Pro Swim Group through to the 2024 Olympic Trials. He was a full-time clinician at Fitter and Faster swim camps for 3 years before joining our team. He credits his success as an athlete to his coaches in his past, aiming to make an impact on current athletes like they did for him.
On top of his athletic career, Mike also got his bachelor’s degree in computer science and spent 3 years as a software developer.
