The Velocity Meter synchronizes a video of your swimming technique with graphs measuring velocity, acceleration and deceleration at every .04 seconds during your stroke cycle. From this data, we measure your peak velocities, trough velocities, and the difference between them (delta PT) for each stroke cycle. Peak acceleration corresponds in real time to your maximum propulsion and peak deceleration corresponds in real time to your maximum frontal drag. The VM study enables us to identify more errors in your technique and to quantify them. Each VM study requires about 10 hours of preparation and analysis including one hour of sharing the results with you on line.
