SUMMARY:SWIM CAMP OCEANSIDE\, CA MARCH 30 - APRIL 2\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Location: William Wagner Aquatics Center Oceanside\, CA / Brooks St Aquatics Center\, Oceanside\, CA\nMarch 30 – April 2\, 2026 \nJoin The Race Club for an immersive four-day swim camp designed to elevate swimmers of all levels. \nFor four powerful days\, you’ll step inside the training philosophy that has helped shape Olympic champions and elevate swimmers at every level of the sport. At The Race Club\, we don’t just teach drills – we teach why they work. We break down the science of speed\, eliminate the mistakes that hold swimmers back\, and build the technical precision that separates good swimmers from great ones. This camp is designed to give you the tools\, confidence\, and race-ready skills to take your swimming to the next level. \nWhat Makes This Camp Different\nAt The Race Club\, we focus on the details that matter most: \n\nStroke efficiency and propulsion\nStarts\, turns\, and transitions\nUnderwater speed and dolphin kicking\nMobility and body alignment\nStrength\, recovery\, and nutrition\n\nEvery concept is taught in a classroom setting and then reinforced immediately in the pool for hands-on application. \nWHAT SWIMMERS WILL LEARN\nEach day includes structured morning and afternoon sessions combining education\, technical drills\, and performance training. Athletes will focus on all strokes\, starts\, and turns while improving freestyle\, backstroke\, breaststroke\, and butterfly technique. Camp curriculum includes four types of dryland training\, the science of swimming\, and the five disciplines of fast swimming. Swimmers will also develop seasonal planning\, mental training\, and race strategy skills to gain a competitive edge. \nAt The Race Club\, we recommend that all campers attend every camp session whether you are a beginner\, master\, or a competitive swimmer to improve your swimming technique. \nDay 1 – Freestyle Fundamentals & Body Alignment\nDay 1 is dedicated to building the foundation of fast swimming. Swimmers will develop a deeper understanding of the mechanics that create speed\, focusing on efficient freestyle technique\, breathing patterns\, and proper body alignment. \nFocus Areas: \n\nFundamentals of fast swimming principles\nFreestyle stroke mechanics and propulsion\nEfficient breathing timing and rhythm\nMobility testing and stroke alignment\nPre-workout activation and stretch progression\n\nDay 2 – Nutrition\, Dolphin Kick & Backstroke Precision\nDay 2 expands performance development beyond the stroke itself. Swimmers will learn how nutrition fuels speed while refining dolphin kick power and mastering the technical details of an efficient backstroke. \nFocus Areas: \n\nPerformance nutrition essentials for swimmers\nDolphin kick power and underwater velocity\nFreestyle mechanics continue from Day 1\nBackstroke body position and rotation timing\, efficient arm path\, catch mechanics\n\nDay 3 – Strength\, Breaststroke & Start Performance\nDay 3 connects dryland strength and recovery principles directly to in-water performance. Swimmers will focus on breaststroke timing and transitions while developing explosive and technically sound starts. \nFocus Areas: \n\nStrength training principles for swimmers\nRecovery strategies for sustained performance\nBreaststroke technique\nBack-to-breast transition turns\nStart fundamentals and block positioning\nReaction time and explosive power generation\nStreamline control and entry precision\n\nDay 4 – Mental Training\, Butterfly & Race Execution\nDay 4 brings everything together. Swimmers will build confidence through mental preparation strategies\, refine butterfly mechanics\, and apply their technical progress in race-specific scenarios. \nFocus Areas: \n\nMental training for competition and confidence\nButterfly rhythm\, timing\, and efficiency\nOpen turns\, wall transitions\, starts\nDynamic dryland activation\nFour-stroke drill progression\nIndividual Races\n\nCAMP SCHEDULE\nMonday\, March 30 \n\n8:00am – 11:00am\n1:00pm – 3:00pm\n\nTuesday\, March 31 \n\n9:00am – 12:00pm 📍 Brooks Street Aquatics Center\n2:00pm – 4:00pm\n\nWednesday\, April 1 \n\n8:00am – 11:00am\n11:00 – 1:00 pm (Optional – TRC Sensors Testing\, Video Analysis & College Placement)\n1:00pm – 3:00pm\n\nThursday\, April 2 \n\n9:00am – 12:00pm 📍 Brooks Street Aquatics Center\n2:00pm – 4:00pm\n\n*Times subject to slight change \nEQUIPMENT\nTo ensure the highest quality training environment and maximize learning during each session\, swimmers are expected to arrive with all required equipment prepared before each workout. \nWe recommend the following items for use throughout camp: \nDMC Training Fins\nAlignment Kickboard\nNose Clip\nTRC Mono Snorkel\nFINIS Tempo Trainer\nFinger Paddles \nAll equipment items are available for purchase directly through The Race Club. \nTRC EQUIPMENT BAG\nSwimmers may choose to purchase a Full Equipment Bag\, which includes all recommended items listed above\, conveniently packed in a TRC Mesh Bag with your TRC Bag Tag. \nEquipment Bag Value: $292 (Price may vary slightly depending on fin size and color.) \nAs a Bonus with purchase of the full equipment bag you get a FREE Race Club Signature T-Shirt \nOnce registered for Swim Camp\, please notify us if you plan to purchase individual equipment or the full equipment bag so everything is ready for you at the start of camp. \nQUESTIONS?\nIf you have more questions.
